I’ve never much been a fan of the incentive laden type of site whether it be for bloggers or whatever else is out there. It just flat has too many issues attached to it. In a word, GOOGLE, can’t stand such ideas and more and more “authority” sites like Google are chiming in with equal takes on the concept. Pay per post types of sites aren’t new nor are they terribly effective. Been there, done that. What’s typically sad about these things is you end up paying someone money to write worse than you can do on your own! How much sense does that make?
Now, SocialSpark makes a debut…well, not really now, but in January. The business side of me gets full well why these sites are popular, but the practical side of me wants to scream “ENOUGH ALREADY.” Wow…practical and all caps? I can be an enigma to be sure.
The bottom line for me is a market saturation issue that just won’t go away. Everyone and their dog has a blog and now the smarmy amongst us would like to have those folks and advertisers hook up for the benefit of all. Sorry. I don’t buy it. Well I have, but I’m off that wagon now. Really I am. No more. Nada. Zip…Not gonna do it…I’m almost sure of it….Bueller? Ferris?
